Effective Workplace Performance and Review

Synopsis:

Supervisors are the pillars of success for the Company. They are often taken for granted to know everything that they are expected to know, and yet many of them could have been promoted from the ranks without much “supervisory skills” and/or training.

Effective Workplace Performance and Review complements the three Core Skills (Skill in Leading, Skill in Communication & Giving Instructions, and Skill in Work Improvement), to help Supervisors understand the key functions/activities of their own Job, as well as those of their subordinates’.

This 1-Day Workshop is especially beneficial for newly promoted supervisors and those who are next on line to be promoted, as well as existing supervisors who need a refresher.

In this Workshop, learners are expected to discuss their personal workplace experiences, including their own Job activities and those of their subordinates’.

The Learning Outcomes

  1. Able to identify the Critical Success Factors of a Supervisor
  2. Able to understand the top three key activities of your Job and those of your subordinates
  3. Able to Identify at least 8 Competencies which are critical to perform your Job well, as well as the Competencies which are required by your subordinates to excel in their jobs.
  4. Able to set at least three GetSmart Action Plans for yourself and your team, and to apply a “behavior-based” Approach towards work excellence
  5. Able to lead your team and facilitate the 5-Steps Plan in Effective Workplace Performance and Review

For Whom

This 1-Day Workshop is recommended for existing managers and supervisors and all those with supervisory roles in the workplace, as well as people who are likely to be promoted as supervisors in the near future.

Methodology

The Course is facilitated by Ong Hong Him, the Master Trainer and Courseware Developer, applying the principles and techniques of adult education with the use of Work-Sheets, Case Studies, Flip Charts, Music, Presentations, Reflections, PPS, and other means of communication.

Learners are expected to come prepared with real life examples of their Job activities and those of their subordinates’ and to share their personal experiences.

The process of learning is interactive and participative with lots of information sharing and group discussions.

At the end of the Workshop, learners are expected to apply the techniques of Effective Workplace Performance & Review, when they return to work.

There will be post Workshop Reviews on the effectiveness of the Learning, including Follow-ups on the activities of the learners for the next 30 days to establish the ROI
