Synopsis:

Supervisors are the pillars of success for the Company. They are often taken for granted to know everything that they are expected to know, and yet many of them could have been promoted from the ranks without much “supervisory skills” which are the critical success factors.

The three core skills that a supervisor “must have” in order to excel on his/her Job are, Skill in Leading; Skill in Communication & Giving Instructions; and Skill in Work Improvement.

This 1-Day Workshop on “Skill in Leading” is especially beneficial for newly promoted supervisors and those who are next on line to be promoted, as well as existing supervisors who need a refresher.

In this Workshop, learners are expected to discuss their personal experiences on people related problems at the workplace.

  5. Able to administer and resolve the people related problems in a systematic order, using the ‘5-Steps Plan’ and to set 3 GetSmart Action Plans on improving Employee Relations

For Whom

This 1-Day Workshop is recommended for existing managers and supervisors and all those with supervisory roles in the workplace, as well as people who are likely to be promoted as supervisors in the near future.

Methodology

The Course is facilitated by Ong Hong Him, the Master Trainer and Courseware Developer, applying the principles and techniques of adult education with the use of Work-Sheets, Case Studies, Flip Charts, Music, Presentations, Reflections, PPS, and other means of communication.

Learners are expected to come prepared with real life examples of people related problems and share their examples in class.

The process of learning is interactive and participative with lots of information sharing and group discussions.

At the end of the Workshop, learners are expected to apply the techniques of solving people related problems by applying the 5-Steps Plan, when they return to the Workplace.

There will be post Workshop Reviews on the effectiveness of the Learning, including Follow-ups on the activities of the learners for the next 30 days to establish the ROI.
